first, an ideal, with takes the imagination by storm, 

and second, a definite intelligible plan for carrying that ideal into practice.

blaming on his boots 

the fault of his feet.

He who knows best 

knows 

how little he knows.

Life is like a piano.

depends on how you play it.

Genius is childhood recalled at will.

It is important to expect nothing, 

to take every experience,
